Guest guest
H.N.Sreenivasa Murthy Pranams to all. Let us see what the Upanishads say on this topic: The following is a mantra fromSvetasvatarOpanishad: EkO dEvaH sarvaBUtEShu gUDhaH sarvavyApI sarvaBUtAMtarAtmA | karmAdhyakShaH sarvaBUtAdhivAsaH sAkShI cEtA kEvalO nirguNaSca || 6-11 The non—dual and resplendent Lord is hidden in all beings. All—pervading, the inmost Self of all creatures, the impeller to actions, abiding in all things, He is the Witness, the Animator and the Absolute, free from gunas. The following is a mantra from Katha Upanishad: sUryO yathA sarvalOkasya cakShuH na lipyatE cAkShuShairbAhyadOShaiH | EkastathA sarvaBUtAntarAtmA na lipyatE lOkaduHKEna bAhyaH || 2-2-11 As the sun, which helps all eyes to see, is not affected by the blemishes of the eyes or of the external things revealed by it, so also the one Atman, dwelling in all beings, is never contaminated by the misery of the world, being outside it. Sri Shankara's commentary on the above mantra is really very illuminating one and helps us to realize the FACT that our True nature is Brahman/Atman/ Witness.
