Guest guest
Namaste Rishi, In message # 35527 you said, in reference to Sri Ranjit Maharaj's teachings, " I personally found some of those teachings helpful in clarifying some specific concepts, such as the distinction between the reflection of conciousness and the Self (which is a topic that he seems to dwell on a lot compared to most Vedantic teachings). " I have often heard the term 'reflected consciousness,' and I have never really understood what it refers to. Is it something to do with the saying, 'consciousness is reflected in the mind'? Although I have heard that phrase, I'm not sure that I understand it. You seem to have a very clear way of explaining things, and I would be most appreciative if you would expand a bit more on the topic. In what way did Maharaj's words help to clarify the above mentioned distinction for you, i.e. between the reflection of consciousness and the Self? What is the distinction, and what does the term 'reflected consciousness' actually mean? Thank you so much if you have the time and inclination to expand on this topic, which may be use to others as well as to myself.
