Summary Statement of List Policies

Point number 4 on the List Policies has now been changed and reads:

 

4. All members shall be free to post to the list as soon as they join.

The group is effectively `refereed' rather than `moderated' as

outlined below. Posting to the group indicates that the member has

read, understood and accepted these guidelines.

* Note that new members who fail to supply `reasons for wanting to

join the list' when requested will be placed under moderation until a

first acceptable post has been received. *

 

This does not represent a reversion to a moderated list but avoids the

problem of wondering whether a new member is 'suitable' when they

refuse to provide any infromation about themselves.
