Guest guest
Dear Richard Thank you very much for your help. A friend here from the list sent me informations about a Vedanta teacher in Rio, so there yes, there is a group. Although I am in Sao Paulo state, I will try to contact her. But I will accept your help too for sure. Every help is needed I think, to walk on this path. I thank you again. IF you do not have an embodied teacher near, then: Read works like Ramana's " Talks with Ramana Maharshi " and Sankaras 'Crest Jewel of discimination.' Read as spiritual practice not as a book with which to mentally engage. Read (in small bits), reflect within yourself on the truth of what you read, then meditate to see this truth within yourself. Are there vedanta groups, or Ramana Maharshi groups in Brazil? Finding like minded seekers with whom to associate is also good. I also would recommend getting CDs of satsang from my teacher, Nome. He realized the Self in the late 1970s, and has taught Ramana's inquiry for many years. You can purchase CDs of satsangs for their website, www.satramana.org. I actually do this myself, I listen to them every day. Most can be listed to again and again. And keep investigating your own indentity. What is it within yourself that never changes? What is it that comes and goes? Can you be what comes and goes? Who are you? Keep looking within. When the time is right, a teacher will appear. you can choose what brings you peace, and choose not to engage that which brings mental agitation. Choose peace. And practice looking to your own non-objective identity. Certainly feel free to ask me questions about practice. That has been the focus of my life for a number of years, and I have been blessed with the depest teachings, again and again. Not two, Richard. advaitin , " Cecilia " <martone wrote: > > Dear Richard > > How can I, living in Brasil where there is no Advaita living teacher, how > can I have a living teacher?
