What can drive action in the absence of having an object for the fruit of action? Isn't pretty much all western/professional/modern thinking and teaching based on making 'fruit of action' the object of thinking, planning, goal setting, execution as well of the review and performance evaluation? Isn't goal-setting the basis for pretty much all professional endeavors? How does goal-setting work in the absence of motive to seek fruit of actions? Mail is the world's favourite email. About 6 months ago I wrote a 6-part article on Karma yoga that is stored in the archieves that you can unload if you are interested. That sloka is analyzed exhaustively in that series as well as your question related to the day-to day living. Hari Om! Sadananda
