I find this erroneous to the Dharma of humans. It is not the nature of humans to

eat meat, it is a sense habit or addiction. Therefore it is hardly violence to

a nature or dharma that doesn't exist for a human. This is just a sop to meat

eaters who don't have the willpower to overcome their addictions.

It is hardly violence to stop people cutting themselves or beating up on other

people..............Hu.

Hupa-ji :

With all due respects to you, i kind of agree with Sadaji. He is

right. He is looking at the bigger picture when he made that

statement ...

For example, when one progresses in the bhakti marga takes to nama

japa ( the divya nama of one's ishta nista ) one develops a Higher

TASTE or develops a 'rasa' or taste for GOD'S NAME and is no longer

in interested in satisfying his /her palette - such as a taste for

meat or even one's favorite vegeatable - all these lose importance !

He does not 'live' to eat only 'eats' to live - to keep his body and

soul together. So is the case with a seeker of brahma jnana - once

he acquires the taste for brahma jnana ( jignasu) he is not worried

about mundane pleaures of satisfying one's cravings for this food or

that! Jnanis who live in caves and practice meditation can survive

on 'air' alone ! i am sure that is how Sri Ramana bhagwan surviced

during his intense in the Virupaksha cave !

Sadaji is once again right- wecannot impose our views ir idealogy on

another individual even promoting 'vegetarianism' - all such

decisions should come from within - one should act according to

one's true nature or Swabhava ! even to impose one's views on

another human being is an act of 'violence' ! in fact , that is thw

worst kind of violence !

you stated :

I can give you examples of many vegetarians who are very adharmic

and inhuman - we are not even talking about Adolf Hitler who was

supposedly a vegetarian !

Sri Ramakrishna usded to love to eat Fish !BUT , HE WAS THE MOST

DHARMIC AND HUMAN(E) MAN THAT EVER LIVED !

HUPA-JI , have you heard of One of Sri Ramakrishna's disciples named

Girish Chandra Ghosh ? Once Girish and his friends visited Sri

Ramakrishna in a druken state . It was late at night. Sri

Ramakrishna embraced Giri and started to sing and dance pretending

not to notice the 'druken ' state of his late night visitors. Such

was Sri Ramakrishna's greatness - His was the all embracing love -

compassionate and understanding !THIS IS THE HALLMARK OF A JNANI -

He lifted a man like Girish Ghosh (who was an alcholic )SPIRITUALLY

not by reprimanding but by showing Love and Compassion !

BTW , I AM 100% VEGETARIAN BUT I AM NOT 100% DHARMIC !
