Guest guest
Namaste, With regard to the corpse pose or deep relaxation and sleep etc. Some people do fall asleep in this pose others go into yoga nidra. Sleep I think has some bodily movement, nidra has none. However only Savikalpa Samadhi can be remembered or experienced, Nirvikalpa Samadhi is beyond memory or experience and cannot be recalled. So one would not know whether one had been in Nidra or Nirvikalpa....Hu Get the toolbar and be alerted to new email wherever you're surfing. Guest guest
Dear Hupa-Ji: The topic of Samadhi has been covered many times on this list. Your comment as to - one cannot know whether one has been in Nidra or Nirvikalpa Samadhi- is not accurate and inconsistent with the experience of yogis and testimony of great sages. Guest guest
Harshaji - PraNAms I am finding many of Shree Hupa-ji comments are inaccurate. Since he does not provide any scriptural basis, I find them little difficult to respond to. I have a feeling that advaitin readers are knowledgable enough to transcend these inaccuracies. Hari Om! A no mind state? Nir Vikalpa? I do know that some relate nirvikalpa as oneness with the Self but this is a misnomer. For samadhi with the Self is talking of Saguna, or Praneaswarea as Niz would say. So really Nir Vikalpa means what it says -no movement no mind, and Saguna is associated with mind. Therefore Nirvikalpa Samadhi or Sahaja is where the mind is non existent and only Nir Guna is the truth. The body/mind complex may be in various lower samadhis at the same time as long as the body exists but the mind or ego is gone as it were. This may account for some of the blissful memories that people relate. Personal experience is important not just some scripture that has been rewritten, related, translated a thousand times...Hu
