Guest guest
Namaste Revered Advaitins, When browsing through wikipedia, I came across an article on Vemana Kavi - which talks about him propagating Achala Yoga, which is transcend the Vedas, the Upanishads and all the religious systems of the world. It also mentions that it is beyond all, and Vemana himself says it beyond Brahman. Does this means he is devoiding Brahman itself, which forms the very root of all existence? Can there exist a experience which is beyond Brahman? Sai Pranam, Gopinath
Guest guest
Shree Gopinath - PraNAms By definition there cannot be anything beyond Brahman - since Brahman means infiniteness. If there is something beyond infinite, then infinite ceases to be infinite. Vedanta is only pramaaNa for that. Vemana kavi's peotry is filled with beautiful and very simple philosophy. His works are eternalized by Britisher Lord Brown who also wrote Telugu-English dictionary and who also said Telugu is the 'Italian of the East' due to its melody. Swami Chidatmaanandaji of Chinmaya Mission, Hyderabad, has been presenting Vemana Kavitvam on TV (maybe in E-naadu) for the past few years. Any other interpretation of Vemana kavi's philosophy is to be valued as such. Hari Om!
