Guest guest
Dear Moses Yesupadam, " If the Lord is insisting that he should be worshipped in the form of Krishna Vaasudeva and to reject all other forms, what about the fate of devotees who worship him in various other forms like Siva, Sakti etc... All these people are not entitled for the grace of him. I think this is not the actual intension of the Lord. Kindly help me and clarify the real meaning of this Sloka. " The Karma-Kanda of the Vedas (as well as comparable material in other shastras) contains various rituals which help attain ends such as progeny, wealth, heaven, etc... The deities being worshipped in such rituals are invoked because their specific upadhis (body, mind, etc.. ..) have powers that our upadhis do not have. The invoked deities can use their upadhis to help us attain these ends. When Krishna says " I " throughout the Gita, he does not refer to any upadhi but it refers to the essential Self (with some exceptions, where he refers to his current embodiment). Even in his short comment on the verse in question, Shankaracharya takes care to identify Vasudeva with the Self. The Self of all beings, including all deities, are one and the same and this alone is the refuge of those who seek liberation. Regards, Rishi.
