Namaste,

It is probably reasonable to say that my existence is awareness.

Unless I have awareness, there is no question of declaring existence

or non-existence. There are some people in coma - they don't have

awareness but they still exist because their body is functioning

(maybe not - I don't know).

More generally, existence is there even without awareness. Why do we

need a conscious entity to validate existence ? Plants flower at

night, it may rain 10 inches at night and we will see the resulting

water etc in the morning. So jagat definitely exists - whether I am

awake or in deep sleep. How is existence or non-existence or mithya

nature of jagat related to my state ?

thanks and regards,

Shailendra

The people in coma may not have awareness but you need to be aware to

know that there is someone in coma.

This is the fallacy of falling into the time trap. Without awareness,

how will you see the water in the morning?

It isn't. Awareness per se has no states. Any state is only

established in the presence of awareness.

How do we know such people have no awareness?

Awareness is never absent. Maybe " awareness of (some knowledge) " maybe absent,

but awareness per se is never absent.
