Guest guest
Maniji asks: What is the Goal of Bhakti ? May i recall the following verse from Narada bhakti sutra ? 30. Svayam phalgrupeti brahmakumarah According to Sanat Kumara aand Narada that Bhakti is itself of the nature of the fruit. Narada is not in agreement with the preposition that knowledge is the means of attaining to Bhakti. He also does not agree with the view that the knowledge and the Bhakti are interdependent. He says Bhakti is itself a reward, it is like fruit. It does not require any prop or support. Bhakti is its own reward. http://www.astrojyoti.com/naradabhaktisutras.htm Let the sunshine of the Prema bhakti of the lord shine on both cheeks ! Guest guest
Namaste, Dhyaneshwari Behn It is very kind of you to quote Narada Bhakti Sutra. In “Arul Urai” (Tamil), Paramacharya said, the goal of Bhakti is in the culmination of knowledge/ realization of the oneness of devotee and devoted. It is the marriage of Jeeva with Atma, as after that, as said in Tamil, it is “eer udal and ore uyir” i.e. two bodies with one and the same life principle. Bhakta Meera wanted to marry the Lord maybe only with this idea. Though not aware, the Devotee or Bhakta is actually yearning for that realization. If my memory is correct, in Br. Upanishad or Ch. Upanishad, Narada was asked to go for “self knowledge”. “Gnana Nishta” in itself is Parama Bhakti. With warm regards Mani P.S. I just wonder how you get so much time to write very lengthy mails and that also one after another. I am sure it must be very absorbing for you. R. S. Mani Luggage? GPS? Comic books?
