Guest guest
Dear Advaitin groups, I came across a wonderful website which holds the answer to a lot of the questions being generated in this website. I believe that this would be a " must share " website. I am sure a lot of you must have already had access to these discourses of Swami Chinmayananda but for those who have'nt come across this site: The link provided below contains a synopsis of Swami Chnimayananda's discourses. Swamiji covers a broad spectrum of subjects related to spiritualism and other such allied topics. Quoting extensively from the Gita, he effectively unravels some of the covert metaphysical concepts such as God, truth, love, spirituality, ethical life, mind and its governance etc, in layman's parlance. The means to attain true happiness and peace, and also tips to control the turbulent, strong, unyielding, and the restless mind are tactfully dealt with. The guidance that Swamiji offers are practical and extremely useful to attain some level of spiritual growth, mental equilibrium, and to salvage the ethical and moral dilemma of the mind. He also talks extensively about Vairagya and some of the advice are believe are rather pertinent and is something that all of us need to exercise with full force. http://www.chinmaya-chicago.org/guide.htm > " Ramesh Krishnamurthy " <rkmurthy >advaitin >advaitin >Re: Re: why don't i feel it >Mon, 30 Jul 2007 18:41:31 +0530 > >On 30/07/07, Richard Clarke <richard wrote: > > > > So here Nirvikalpa Samadhi, followed by intense practice, culminated > > in Self-Realization. > >In advaita-vedAnta, the seeker analyzes his experience (anubhava) in >the light of shabda pramANa (words of the shaastra/guru). Guest guest
Hello Kamakshi, Thanks for that link. I went to it, browsed briefly and then saved it for study. Best wishes, Steve. ______________________________\ ____ Sick sense of humor?
