Guest guest
3rd / 4th September 2007 The Mahavishnu Anushthan will be held at Kurukshetra, Haryana, on 4th September 2007. This is a very important shivir from the spiritual point of view. Kurukshetra is where Shri Krishna displayed his colossal form (Viraat Swaroop) to Arjun. This is where he shared secrets of life with Arjun in form of Srimad Bhagwad Geeta. This is the same place where Krishna blessed Arjun with Maha Parakram Diksha. The shivir is held at place where Bhishma lay on a bed of arrows. Arjun produced a stream of Ganga for Bhishma here. This is where divine beings and Gods perform sacred offerings (Yagya Yaag). This is a rare opportunity to sadhaks to attain Maha Parakram Diksha on occasion of Krishna Janma Ashtami. Ganga, Kankhal, Prayaag and Pushkar are places which give you good karma and being at Kurukshetra at the time of solar cycles (Surya Parva) is an excellent celestial providence. Samantpanchak is a place that is right in middle of Ratnuk, the centre of Aratnuk, Ramhrad, Bhachakruk Yakshas. Bhishma's sizable 40 kosh (ancient measurement) Uttarvedi is Kurukshetra, signified by these places: Bramhasar, Bramhatar, Vedi, Ramhrad, Samant Panchak, Prayaag and Kurukshetra. King Dhritarashtra mentioned Kurukshetra as Dharmakshetra (the abode of religious supremacy) in Shrimad Bhagwad Geeta. King Savirna Kuru had created Kurukhetra with a golden plough. Due to King Kuru's good deeds and purifying rituals Kurukshetra became a worthy place. There are seven forests and seven rivers in Kurukshetra, the main river being Saraswati. Saraswati descended from heavens of Bramhalok and caused formation of lakes Prachi, Papantak, Madhushrav, Avakirna, Bramhayoni, as heavenly abodes to its left bank. Saraswati then flowed towards the west from here. Saraswati does not flow except in rainy season, therefore it is named Salila in the scriptures. At the solar eclipse, all 320 million Gods gather at the lake Sannihit at Kurukshetra. Guruji Sudarshannathji and Gurumata Dr. Sadhanaji of MAHAVIDHYA SADHAK PARIVAR shall bestow dikshas like Maha Parakram Diksha, Vijay Prapti Diksha, Shri Krishna Diksha and Wisdom of Geeta Diksha. Guest guest
H.N. Sreenivasa murthy Pranams to all. Dear Members of this august group, It is matter of great sorrow that inspite of repeated requests from the moderators, some members continue to post messages which are not related to the studies/discussions with which the group is dealing . As religious and spiritual minded persons if we do not have the discipline to obey the rules and regulations of this institution how can we progress in our journey towards the Supreme goal ? My request is this:Let us confine ourselves to Advaita -Vedanta subject matters only and let us not indulge in theological or pauranic matters. With warm and respectful regards, Sreenivasa Murthy
Guest guest
Sorry Sir. I'll not send any more messages which are not related to studies/discussions. Best regs ....That would be much appreciated. The second yellow card must still stand but there will be no problem if you continue to follow the guidelines for the group. It caused me to check the members list and I realized that Reghu Devaraj was already awarded a yellow card in May (following a warning) for posting such messages. Unfortunately I let this through this time. Accordingly, this member is given a 2nd yellow card for the repeated offence. Moderators
