Guest guest
Namaste. I have problem understanding the Naishkarmyasiddhi verse (quoted below) appearing on our Home Page. Can Sunderji or other scholars help by checking if the transliteration `pratyaktAsya' is right? I can't figure out what it means and relate it to the translation provided, i.e. " immediate self-awareness " . If it is a misprinting for pratyakSasya, then I have no problem. But, then the meaning will be entirely different demanding a correction to the translation. The translation would then be " The true nature of the manifest is without action, agency in action and fruits of action. " , which is advaitically quite right and goes well with the second line of the verse. _________ pratyaktAsya svatorUpaM niShkriyAkArakAphalam.h . advitIyaM tadiddhA dhiiH pratyagAtmeva lakShyate .. 3:71 " Immediate self-awareness is the intrinsic nature of the Self. It is without action, the factors of action and the fruits of action. It is without a second. This intellect ignited by it, as it were, appears as the inner Self. " __________ PraNAms.
