Guest guest
As members may have noticed, there have not been very many of these in the past few months! It would be nice if we could continue with these as the year end approaches. There are still many basic terms that would benefit from a short description (just a few paragraphs is all that is required). Some key ones that are relevant to recent discussions and which have not yet been defined are: gross, subtle and causal bodies; lIlA; nirguNa-saguNa; paramArtha-vyavahAra; states of consciousness; turIya. Existing definitions may be seen at http://www.advaita.org.uk/discourses/definitions/definitions.htm or downloaded from the files section of the group and the excel file listing suggested definitions can also be downloaded. There are many members able to help here - don't leave all the work to the moderators! In particular, those who have been involved in recent discussions should volunteer for the ones listed above. Part XXVIII of Dr. Sadananda's 'Introduction to Vedanta' - 'The Paradox of Space and Time' has just been uploaded - http://www.advaita.org.uk/discourses/sadananda/paradox_sadananda.htm.
