Guest guest
Dennisji ! Wow! What a way to go! You already have a great start with our beloved Sri Sri Ramachandranji penning a few lines on 'vyavaharika and paramarthika' . Then my long time supporter and friend from Florida , e-go dustji ( Frank ji) adding his wonderful perspective on this subject . Our youngest and endearing team player , Sampath , the lion cub, has also contributed a divine post on this topic . So , in course of time, Beloveds Rishiji , Shyamji , and others old and new advaitins in the list will volunteer to add their views on these on going definitions ! Thank you Frankji and Sampathgaru for your wonderful contributions . Thank you Ramji for 'leading ' the discussion. i also want to thank Sri Bhaskaran 42 for peening few lines on 'Turiya' - another topic in the weekly definitions. That was indeed very sweet of Baskaran to jump in and help out . Others can follow Sri Baskaran's example by adding their views and perspectives . Women and advaita - a fascinating topic but also a potentially 'explosive' subject like varnashrama dharma - so as owner moderator Ramji has kindly requested let us now put an end to the discussion. Ramji is absolutely right ! Hindu Religion has given prominence to Shakti Worship ( Goddesses) along with the worship of gods . Sri V. R. Ramachandra Dikshitar (1896-1953), " Shaktism is dynamic Hinduism. The excellence of Shaktism lies in its affirmation of Shakti as Consciousness and of the identity of Shakti and Brahman. In short, Brahman is static Shakti and Shakti is dynamic Brahman. " And in the Kena Upanishad also , it was Goddess Uma who showed ' Brahman' ( THE SPIRIT) to Indra , Vayu , Agni etc ! Tantric Advaita also is also all about MAA KUNDALINI WORSHIP ! Thank you dear all ! Navaratri is around the corner - A good time of the year to devote time to Devi Upasana and ask for forgiveness! She is kshama dhatri and moksha datri ! She also grants us the 'viveka' to differentiate between the 'real' and the 'unreal' !
