Guest guest
Hare Krishna, Namaskarams. advaitin , jas dullat <jas.dullat wrote: " who or what recieves enlightenment if all is unreal, and Self already being Realized, who is that requires knowledge? " what is all unreal? The world is unreal as seen in the statement " brahma sathyam jagan mithya " . But that which realizes it as mithya is the reflected self covered by ignorance earliar to that knowledge. So the reflected self receives the enlightenment on knowing the truth- rather discovers the truth. Once there is realization even the knowledge is useless like a scaffolding used for a building. A question like the one asked above is good as an exercise for people like me and sometimes can elucidate some jems as answer from scholars like Shri.Sastry , Shri Sadananda and Others baskaran
Guest guest
my friend Sreeni : i am gla i made you smile - for a smile pleases an atma more than a frown ! would you not agree ? i will believe you are ' Sreenivasa when your wrtings do not reflect an undercurrent of 'ego ' or ahamkaravritti ! The moment i see even a trace of 'ego' youy are as much a jivatma as the rest of us ! i think we are both in BMI and BMI and the moment we admit that , we have at least acquired 'viveka ' if not jnana , per se ! please try to understand my point . This is the year of the Novice . Dennisji is trying his best to explain complex advaitic terms in simple language for new entrants to the advaiting group. we must all help him in this endeavor instead of being a ( obstacle ) in this noble task ! Jas has asked a very 'intelligent ' question - it is our duty as a learned advaitin to answer the question fully and not answer a question by asking another question ! please , understand , humility is the hallmark of a learned person! now , can you answer JAS'S QUESTION ! THANKS NAMASTE TO YOU, , MY BROTHER SREENI! ps - no question is ever useless !
