Guest guest
Beloveds: I would like to thank one and all for their best wishes on and off the message board regarding my proposed trip to my Motherland . I particularly want to thank Sri Ramji for his kind sentiments and for the clarification he issued regarding list policies . Running a big list like this is by no means an easy task and he his team of co moderators are doing an excellent job of maintiaing Harmony and Peace. It is humorously said that whenever Six economists gather to discuss something , there will be Seven opinions ! Am i allowed to parody on this statement and say whenver two advaitins gather to discuss shankara bhasyas there will be five opinions !what shankara actually said and how the two advaitins interpret it and then what each one's paramaguru interpreted it ! ) Lol! anyway , an interesting discussion is going on Prarabda and brahmajnana ! Sadaji was often fond of quoting Poojya Gurudev Chinmayananda. Swami Chinmayananda said " what you have is prarabda and what you do with what you have is purushaartha " So , folks , in order to maintain Harmony and Peace on the list , there is no need to respond to each and every mail whatever the temptation may be . Sadaji said " Within vyavahaara, there are three choices one has: kartum shakhyam, akartum shakhyam and anyathaa kartum shakhyam, one can decide to do it, one can decide not to do it and one can do it other way. Whatever one chooses is his purushaartha. The future prarabda is the past prarabda modified by the present actions that one chooses to do. Hence responding to the mail involves both prarabda and purushaartha. What kind of response one makes obviously depends on ones understanding plus ones samskaara in the choice of the words and the tone. " anyway , i luved the latest quote from Sunderji from talk 422 of Sri Ramana . Shastri Avargale - i am delighted to know you are a tamilian from Kerala ! Many great saints have hailed from Kerala - our beloved Shankara Bhagvadapada , Bhattathri , Narayana guru , Mata Amritananamayee etc etc .... so i am proud to know you are a tamilian and that too from the great state of Kerala - that makes you all the more lovable ! Folks , thank you all once again for all your love and support via private emails ..... Happy Holidays !
