Dear Dr. Yadu,

 

The sloka from mahAbhArata is quoted by Sri Sankara in his bhAshya on the

first sloka of vishNusahasranAma, —viSvam vishNurvashatkArah-----

 

The place where it ooccurs in mahAbhArata is not mentioned there and so I

cannot say where it is.

 

I suppose this is what you asked you asked.
