Guest guest
Namaste Advaitins, Sloka: patram puspam phalam toyam yo me bhaktya prayacchati tad aham bhakty-upahrtam asnami prayatatmanah Translation: Whoever with loving devotion offers unto Me a leaf, a flower, a fruit, or water, I affectionately accept that devotional offering from that pure hearted being. Reading this sloka, my mind out of its ignorance asked a question, which I was not able to confer with any suitable answer, so I wished to seek guidance of learned members of this group. So here is the question .. " If a Jnani, who is realized and beyond any material limitations and one who have gained control over senses and one who know the whole universe is harmonious play of Absolute - if offered with any non-sattvic food, which he has never tasted before realizing Self, will he reject/accept? (Rejection/Acception, Before/After is never with a jnani) " - To state the above question more directly - " What would Lord Krishna/Bhagawan Ramana do, if he is offered with any non-sattvic food (ex. non-vegetarian food) as naivedya by a devotee? Will he eat? or will he not eat? " Please pardon me for asking such a crazy question saipadaarpanamastu, gopinath
