Look at the sanctity we attach to mounts Pazhani in Tamil Nadu and Shabari (Sabarimala) in Kerala. I think the Indian psycle has always unknowingly recognized a distinctly pulsating presence in the inanimate. That 'whatever it is' needs further probing. I am saying this even at the peril of being labelled atrociously superstitious.>> This is Shobhana Adhyasa, i.e. deliberately superimposing a higher thing on a lower thing, like what we do when we convert a pinch of haldi powder into Lord Ganesha for worshiping. Shankara says in adhyAsa bhAshya - " anubhavAvasAnatvAt bhUtavastu viShayatvAccha brahmajnAnasya.... " in our dream whether i see sthAnu or forest or sky or Ganesha or Shabarimala or sun or moon etc.,etc.,, at that time though it appears as different from me once i wake up if i analyse what all appeared is nothing but me alone. similarly what we call jaagrat is nothing but dream alone. swapnAntam jAgaritAntancha ubhau EnAnupashyati | mahAntam vibhum AtmAnam matvA dhIrO na shOchati || - katOpanishat But be careful that there is methodology to identify the existing anubhava as revealed by great Shankara . that is adhyArOpa apavAda prakriya which is embedded in all prakriyAs like 1. avasthAtraya prakriya, 2. kAryakArana prakriya, 3.panchakOsha viveka prakriya, 4. sAmAnya vishESha prakriya, 5. drig drishya vivEka prakriya , 6. srishti prakriya etc.. in all the prakriya the methodology is nothing but- super imposition and the immediate negation. this is the only gurusampradAya. Shanakra writes in Geetha bhAshyam- " satyamEvam gurusampradAya rahitAnAm, ashruta vEdAntAnAm, samyakpramANEshu akruta shramANAm, atyanta bahirviShAsakta buddhInAm ............(Atma tattvaha) swAsannataramapi atidUramiva avabhAsatE " ......bh.geeta-18-50 so before going out of the subject in all above discussions it is better we confirm the statements as in our anubhava because this is advaitin group. shubhamastu, sadguruprasaada siddhirastu, sanjeeva murthy > > > Looking for last minute shopping deals?
