Can any one answer my doubt?

Dear Shri Murthy,

You have asked;--

What you have stated , is it something which one has to believe in it?

or is it a fact which one can verfy HERE and NOW?

In Mandukya Karika one finds the statement " na kaScit jIvaH jAyatE

saMBavOsya na vidyatE " . When there is no birth at all where is the

question of re-birth? Sri Shankara ,in so many places in his commentaries ,

has categorically stated that there is no saMsArI who is separate and

distinct from

parabrahma.

The question itself is born out of ignorance about one's true nature. No

doubt, Sruti talks about transmigration, creation etc. Sri Shankara has

declared that

discussions about these matters are niShphala i.e. fruitless.

My answer:--

Mandukya karika speaks from the point of view of the realized person. It is

said there that there is no creation at all. But the person who asked the

question, and I who answered are both still in ignorance; we are not

realized souls. The world is therefore real for us and the question does

arise and has to be answered. If I or any member of my family falls ill, can

I say that there can be no illness because we were not born at all and

refuse to take medical treatment? Ramana Maharshi could do that, but I have

not reached that stage.

1. Bhagavaan Goudapaada's statement is perfect as

in anubhava. kindly analyse any one of your dream.

2. Goudapaada has reminded-

swapna jAgaritEsThAnEhyEkamAhurmanIShiNah |

bhEdAnAm hi samatvEna prasiddhEnaiva hEtunA ||

now after analysing from dream ( nothing but jaagrat at that

time) point of view this jaagrat becomes nothing but dream.

3. In my dream many things, jeevaas , Gods, even

inert things like rocks, hills, roads, towns, etc are born within me

alone without me going anywhere .

4. Now I must wakeup from this dream ( so called

jaagrat) standing in the point of tureeya ( analyser) that

" mayAmatramidam dvaitam advaitam paramArThatah | "

5. Now where is the creation ?
