Guest guest
The 'weekly definitions' of Advaita terms did not fare too well last year unfortunately, so I have (at least temporarily) drawn a halt to these. I have now commenced producing a 'Dictionary' of common terms, however, and I will be aiming to add a new page of definitions once per week or so over the coming year. I would be grateful if knowledgeable members could check these occasionally and email me if there are any errors or significant omissions. Once the dictionary is complete, I will make the pages directly accessible from the menu bar at the head of each page of the website. Until then, the 'New Dictionary' menu item (under the 'Terms' menu button) will take you to a page which lists the dictionary entries currently available. Today I have added a - aham at http://www.advaita.org.uk/sanskrit/terms_a1.htm. (The latest page of entries will also be directly linked from the 'Latest Additions to Site' box at the bottom of the Home Page.) I have also added the third of the sections on 'Mind' By Sri Sadananda - shown as Part 42 of his 'Introduction to Vedanta' - http://www.advaita.org.uk/discourses/sadananda/mind_matter2_sadananda.htm. I have also added one of Sri Nair's recent posts on 'Who Am I?' at http://www.advaita.org.uk/discourses/teachers/whoami_nair.htm. Incidentally, there are also details, endorsements and six pages of extracts from my new book (published later this year) looking at modern Western methods of teaching Advaita and advocating a return to traditional methods: 'Enlightenment: the path through the jungle' - http://www.advaita.org.uk/discourses/enlightenment/enlightenment.htm. A free E-Book of further extracts is also available on request. Best wishes, Dennis
