Guest guest
Namaste, All One of my colleagues, Sri R. Krishnan, had written more or less a similar article, some time ago, which I am reproducing below for the perusal of our learned members and their views thereon: " QUANTUM BRAHMAN The word Brahman must be familiar to students of Vedanta. Brahman is described in the Upanishads as the Ultimate Reality and also as the reality of all of us. Its inherent nature is said to be Satyam, Jnanam, Anantam which translated into English roughly can be stated as Existence, Knowledge, Bliss or Infinitude. It is also said to be Consciousness or rather the consciousness principle because of which we are all conscious. The Upanishads also claim that this Consciousness is only One or rather Singular and this one underlying principle runs through all of us; the moving and the non-moving. They further say that the feeling of individuality is due to wrong notion. Light was initially thought to be a continuous wave but later on it was explained to also consist of packets of photon called a quanta. Thus light was said to have a dual property of wave and particles. So could it be said similarly of Consciousness. The consciousness within our body acts separately like the quanta of energy and the consciousness outside as a continuous principle like the waves. All of us feel ourselves to be an individual. If nature has made it so, then it cannot be wrong. Individuality must be a natural phenomenon. At the same time there must be a common continuous principle running behind all the individuality. So could it be that Consciousness also behaves in a dual manner. Thus “I” as Quantumised Brahman make use of the body mind complex and perform actions and after death of the body merge with the main Brahman. The theory of incarnation could be due to the subtle body carrying the impressions with the mind thus causing the multifarious and multitude creations. ================ Warm regards Mani R. S.
