Guest guest
Recently I posted a quote of Nisargatta Maharaj's. I heard it on a video biography. A group member said the quote was inaccurate and 'put it into context' by copying a similar but differing quote. I just read the quote again by someone else who had been with NM. It was similar to to the one I stated. After the quote the person added, " ...as Maharaj was fond of saying " . Therefore I conclude that he said it more than once and not always exactly the same. So, to put someone's words into context, one must list every single word he ever said, in that way they can be sure of accuracy. Also the group member said we want to know the truth (paraphrased). We can know the truth about this quote but to know the ultimate Truth (capital T) is beyond the mind. All prattlings do not contain It. The most we can know is that we cannot know.
