Guest guest
Dear Harsha, It may interest members to know that Dennis Waite's forthcoming book is a full study and critique of Neo Advaita called 'Enlightenment And The Path Through The Jungle.' (O Books) The best that can be said is that the tidal wave of neo Advaita sweeping the West is an introduction to the concepts of Advaita. But without sadhana it is a 'parking place', and people stay there for years and years paying for a monthly 'fix'. Fortunately the more mature move on to Ramana, the others need cooking a little longer. Neo Advaita describes the destination , ignoring the journey. Thank you for posting my article on N/A which appeared some time ago in the Mountain Path. All best wishes and warm regards, Alan --- Harsha wrote: > Dear Friends, > > > > See the article by Alan Jacobs at the link below comparing Advaita with > Western style Neo-Advaita. > > > > 2008/05/07/sri-ramanas-teaching-and-western-neo-advaita-by > -alan-jacobs/ > > > > Alan is Chairman of the Ramana Maharshi Foundation UK.
