Guest guest Posted June 8, 2008 Report Share Posted June 8, 2008 shloka 15:-- gAtram bhasmasitam ca hasitam haste kapAlam sitamkhaTvAngam ca sitam sitashca vRishhabhaH karNe site kuNDale | gangAphenasitA jaTA pashupateH candraH sito mUrdhaniso'yam sarvasito dadAtu vibhavam pApakshayam sarvadA ||15 gAtram- the body (of Lord shiva), bhasmasitam- is white, being smeared with sacred ash,ca hasitam- (His) smile is also (white, because of His white teeth), haste- in His hand, sitam kapAlam- is the white skull, khaTvAngam ca sitam- His club(weapon) is also white. vRishhabhaH ca sitaH- The bull which is His mount is also white. karNe site kuNDale- in His ears are white ear-rings, gangAphenasitA jaTA- His matted hair is white, being flecked with the foam from gangA, pashupateH mUrdhani- on Lord shiva's forehead, sitah candrah- is the white moon. sarvasitaH sah ayam- this One who is all white, vibhavam- the wealth, pApakshayam- of eradication of my sins, sarvadA- always, dadAtu-may He bestow. 15. The body of Lord shiva is white. His smile is white. He holds a white skull in His hand. His weapon, a club, is white. His mount, a bull, is white. He wears white ear-rings. His matted hair is white because of the foam from the river gangA. On His forehead is the moon which is also white. May this Lord who is all white always eradicate my sins. I will, with your blessings, add these two stanzas in my daily prayers from now onwards. These two stanzas are new to me. Thank you once again for the same. "S.N.
