I have recently begun researching for my next book, which

will be based on the Mandukya Upanishad and Gaudapada kArikA. I have quite a

number of relevant books but I have so far failed to track down two that I

consider to be quite important. The most significant, given that I want to

ensure that my own is strictly in accord with Shankara, is the following:

The Essential Gaudapada: Translation of Gaudapada Hridaya;

Explanation of Mandukya Karikas by : Swami Satchidanandendra Saraswati,

translated by D. B. Gangolli (I believe), published by Adhyatma Prakasha

Karyalaya (1997)

The other, less significant, is:

Gaudapada: A study in early Advaita by T. M. P. Mahadevan published

by University of Madras (1975)

If anyone is able to locate copies of these, new or second

hand, I would be very grateful. I could pay either via Paypal or by sending

books of equivalent cost (including postage) from Amazon. I would also send a

free copy of the new book when it appears in 2011.

I probably have most of any other related books on the

subject but, if anyone has particular recommendations (I can only read in

English!), then please let me know.

Communications to me rather than the list, please – dwaite

Best wishes,

Dennis
