Dear Group Members,In Sushupti Avasta, jiiva is called as Praagna. It means that jiiva is not conditioned by either antha:karanaas or jnaanendriyas or karmendriyas or pancha pranas. Only Chaitanya conditioned by ajnana (ajnana upahita chaitanyam) alone exists. In that state one experiences Joy. And hence, it is called Aananda Maya Kosha. But, I have a question at this point. Jiiva is with ajnana as we have seen earlier. When one is with ajnana, how joy can be there? ajana implies dukha only.

Learned members of this group may please explain this paradox. Thanks in Advance. With regards,Anupam.
