Guest guest
HARI AUM A very common situation in life- even when one is right others may not follow suit ( how come others do not understand me !!!it is very unfair!)- very irritating and frustrating too! 'Gita' verse 3/26 has some excellent options. Try it out. Regards Balagopal NARAYANA NARAYANA NARAYANA Connect with friends all over the world. Guest guest
Na buddhibhedam janayed ajnaanaam karmasanginaam; Joshayet sarva karmaani vidwaan yuktah samaacharan. The wise should not unsettle the mind of the ignorant ones who are attached to the fruits of work, but the enlightened one should inspire others by performing all works efficiently without selfish attachment. In this verse, Lord Krishna emphasizes the importance of conducting actions with the Yajna spirit – work spontaneously without looking for rewards. The Karmasangis are those who are attached to the results (Karmaphala) of the action. The message is very subtle and His advice to Arjuna (also good for everyone of us) is - not to engage in just preaching others what they should and shouldn't do; instead just conduct the actions spontaneously without looking for any rewards and become a role model. Swami Daynanadaji in the Gita Homestudy notes provides profound reasoning: " Had Krishna and Arjuna lived their lives doing nothing, and had all the enlightened people around them also done nothing, people would certainly have concluded that the right thing was to do nothing. Just as you cannot alter the direction of a river unless you do it very gradually, so too, the direction that a person's life is taking can only be altered gradually. A sensitive person, one who really cares for another person, brings about a change in that person by going with the flow, altering the direction of his or her life, little by little, in a helpful way. " With my warmest regards, Ram Chandran Note: In future when you give reference verses from Gita and other scriptures, please state those verses along with some explanation. This will help the readers to learn and appreciate you more. advaitin , balagopal ramakrishnan <rbalpal wrote: > > HARI AUM > > A very common situation in life- even when one is right others may not follow suit ( how come others do not understand me !!!it is very unfair!)- very irritating and frustrating too! > > 'Gita' verse 3/26 has some excellent options. > >

Gandhi-ji put it in modern idiom - " Be the change you want to see in the world. " Regards, Sunder
