Guest guest
Namaste Sadaji: Thanks for the beautiful story with a profound message. I remember another incident that happened during one of Swamiji's Gita discourses. One of the regular attendees of Swamiji's discouses went to see Swamiji after the discourse. He wanted to impress on Swamiji by saying that he has read Gita more than 10 times. Those who are familiar with Swami Chinmayandaji knows that he is both humorous and very sharp while answering questions and comments. Swamiji with smiles said - " I am glad to know that you have gone through more than times and let me hope that Gita has gone through you at least once! " Swamiji message was quite subtle but all those who listened to this answer were able to appreciate that " Understanding Gita can only happen with practice but not as an intellectual reading! " Thanks again Sadaji, With my warmest regards, Ram Chandran advaitin , kuntimaddi sadananda <kuntimaddisada wrote: > > PraNAms to all > > > After the story swamiji looked deep into our eyes said - do not be like parrots repeating without understanding - let that understanding become part of you - not something to repeat like a parrot but something to assimilate as your own understanding reflecting that understanding in all your transactions. > > That was the last teaching of Swamiji. > > My prostrations to that compassionate guru. >
