Guest guest
Dear members, The old sarpa is yet to die. One of my learned friends posed me a problem about this rajju and sarpa. He said: " To be see a sarpa on the rajju, certain conditions must be fulfilled. There must be a saadR^ishyata (similarity) between the adhishThana and the aaropa. For example, the rope is sharing a common property with a snake. The appearance of the snake and rope are same. No one, however deluded, will see, say, a table as snake or a book as snake. Because, there is no such similarity between them. If we have to " see " Brahman as this prapancha, there must be some similarities. But, naanaa vividha roopam eva prapanchaH, whereas Brahman is One and Homogeneous. " I never thought about this point earlier. Please let me know how I can understand this. With regards, Anupam.
