Hi Richard,

I find it incredible that all this stuff is being brought up

again, probably 20+ years after all the same claims were brought out. I guess

someone decided that the next generation were ready to be sold on these wild

ideas. Prof. Susan Blackmore has written several books debunking them and

providing perfectly adequate and reasonable scientific explanations for tunnels

and lights, feelings of peace etc. If these experiments come up with anything,

all that they are likely to prove is that someone has leaked the information

about the hidden pictures in order to make some money out of people’s

gullibility. Illusionists such as David Copperfield perform far more amazing

tricks!

Not sure what you mean by “mind and its consciousness”,

incidentally – do you mean ‘consciousness and its apparent

manifestation of mind’? And what ‘death’ are you talking

about that it survives? These points just to remind everyone that this is a

group for the discussion of advaita. J
