Guest guest
Namasthe, Have anyone come across any major studies on the impact of 'Advaita' philosophy on the current Indian society? Since its arrival the 'advaita phiolosophy' has been the frontrunner among Indian thoughts. It has become more or less synonymous with the 'only Indian thought' of major influence in the present day. It will be more befitting to say that no other thought crosses the Indian mind and it has become the natural, real and original thought. Things being so it will be interesting for an academic study of its impact on the common mind. I always feel that this'thought' has given lots of relief to the minds when they are troubled. Has the resilience of the Indian society in a way influenced by this thought? The 'advaita' has enormously helped an average Indian to lift his self esteem and image in the face of utter hopelessness. At the same time has this also made people to take things easy? Has it made people more lethargic, unenthusiastic, more relaxed and unambitious to the extent that 'excellence' is a foregone forgetfullness? Just some thoughts.
