Guest guest
Dear Friends, The group was started on January 1, 1999. The 10th anniversary is coming up. We are trying to keep a low profile but, of course, there will be celebrations all over the world on that day. Parades and so forth. We have never asked for this royal treatment but we receive it every year. / Supported by The first message to the HS list was posted by brother Jerry Katz of the nonduality salon on January 2, 1999. It stated, Hello Harsha! Congratulations on your new list. Your message to rs is most inviting. I feel as though I am in the presence of the authentic. I look forward to new doors opening, new voices, new ways of pointing to the clear and even sky. A new flower has unfolded; it has the scent of new awakenings. With love and best wishes, Jerry Here is the (Sri Bhagavan Ramana Maharshi Group Description) from .: This is the oldest and longest Sri Ramana Maharshi Group on the Internet. Sri Ramana's Sangha-Dedicated To Ramana Maharshi: Largest for Ramana Devotees. Blessed by Sri Bhagavan Ramana. Started on January 1, 1999. Ramana Maharshi is known as the Sage of Arunachala. Sri Ramana spontaneously realized the Self at 16. After that he moved to Arunachala and remained there for the rest of his life. Sri Ramana taught the method of self-inquiry which through Grace leads to Realization of our Self. Blessings of Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi do not require that one be from a particular school of yoga or a follower of a certain religion. The highest teaching of Self-Inquiry is a gift. It is pure Grace at work. Aspirants practicing Raj Yoga, Tantra, Kundalini Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Nada, Mantras, and Japa and belonging to any religion all came to see Sri Ramana. Sri Ramana always pointed them to their own Self, their own Heart. It is in the Heart where the Shakti, the mind, and all the paths merge, and the Absolute Shines forth in its own nature. Sri Ramana often quoted the Bhagavad Gita and said that the Lord sits in our Heart as our own Heart as our very own Self (I am in the Heart of all O' Gudakesa). So, it is nice to be in the company of the devotees of the Lord of the Heart. This list is dedicated to the Sage of Arunachala, Sri Ramana Maharshi, and the pure teachings of the Self as taught in Advaita Vedanta. We support all the preliminary practices of yoga and meditation in the context of teachings of Ahimsa, the philosophy of nonviolence. Sri Ramana taught that all such spiritual practices ripen the mind and make it suitable for self-inquiry. Ultimately, the Grace of Bhagavan leads the mind into the Heart for Self-Realization. Namaste and love Harsha God bless you all with all good things
