Am I reflected consciousness ? Do I exist when intellect is absent ? Does reflected consciousness exist when intellect is absent ? Where does the " I-am-Tom-the seer-notion " occur before realization ? Who sees this I-am-Tom-the-seer notion ? Where does the " I-am-Tom-the seer-notion " occur after realization ? Who sees the " I-am-Tom-the seer-notion " ? Regards, Raj. ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| Namaste Raj-ji, As you have neatly tabulated all the possibilities I presume that you have some thoughts on the subject yourself. Framing the questions is already part of the solution or indeed the problem also. Please relate. One of the things which might come up is the time lag between the consciousness of an event and its occurrence. Whatever that might be in mille seconds, 300ms, 600ms my reaction is practically instantaneous. Suppose however my reaction was much slower and I was in a situation where not very much was happening say in the deep recesses of a high cave. Even internal events would take a long time to register and be pointless news. What, I wonder, would be the state of one?s consciousness, thoughtless awareness or blankness that passed like deep sleep between one felt stimulus and the next.? Best Wishes, Michael. Flies get attracted to the fire, fall into it, lose their identity and become one with the fire. Flies or no flies, it makes no difference to the fire. The fire continues to burn. Similarly, vrittis, one by one, merge themselves into the Consciousness to be known. Vritti or no vritti, Consciousness shines for ever. > Best Wishes, > Michael. > Regards, Raj.
