I am giving below the details of our Vedanta diploma course to be conducted in

summer vacation.

International Forum of Followers of Gurudev Ranade for Philosophical Research

(IFFGRPR), Pune,

have announced commencement of

Diploma Course in vendanta, during May 15th to June 15, 2009.

Giving details of this course, Prof. Nandkumar Kakirde, Hon. Secretary of Pune

Kendra said the course timing will be of three hours duration in the morning

every day during the above period. The syllabus includes various topics viz.

Pramanas, various theories about the Ultimate cause of the Universe including

modern science, Vendanta Theory, critical discussion of the Vendanta Theory,

Maaya and a clear depiction of its role as a mediator between Nirguna Brahman

and Saguna Universe; Brahman's Visheshanas and Lakshanaas Nirguna Brahman,

Nature of Atman through analysis of three fold Shareera, Avidyaa; analysis of

Jaagrat Swapna and Sushupti; critial discussion of the unconsciousness in

Sushupti; Tureeya; analysis of Panchakoshas and path of self realization.

The course contents are based solely on the Prasthanntraya Bhaashya of

Shankaracharya. The students will have a unique experience of lectures by Swami

Paramnanda Bharati of Bangalore during the course. As regards the reading

material, the students will be given Vedanta Prabodha a modern style text book

which is available in English, Kannada, Hindi, Gujarathi, Telugu and Malayalam

languages. A Marathi translatin would also available soon. The medium of

instructions of the course will be English and Hindi.

Any graduate from any stream will be eligible to enroll his name for this

unique course. Even those who have appeared for gaduate examination may apply.

The fees for the whole diploma course will be rs. 2000 and certificates will be

awarded to successful students after passing the written examination. Limited

seats are available and early enrollment is essential.
