Guest guest
Dear Sadaji: Dandavat pranams! I admit that I read very few of the detailed scholarly posts here. But I do scan and while doing so I have noticed repeated references by you in soem of your posts such as the recent ones reproduced below. While I assume you distinguish "Ishwara" as Saguna Brahman from the "I" as your choice of appellation or name for Nirguna Brahman, there does appear to be an internal conflict in my quotes from your posts below. There may also be other members who find themselves conflicted at what appears to be duality in your language here. I am wondering if you would be so kind as to clarify? Who or what is this "God" to whom you refer? And what is this "grace" to which you refer? And where is its place in advaita? And who is this Lord to whom you refer as a He? Hari OM! Radhe ----------- [referring to]...being born as human being, desire for liberation and getting associated with a noble soul is due to the grace of God only.Hari Om!Sadananda advaitin/message/44027 -------------------- Hence approach everybody with reverential attitude and you will be blessed since Lord is there in everyone - those that are spiritually grown - Lord himself expresses through him. UpadrashTa anumantaacha bhartaa bhoktaa maheswararaH| With the purity of the mind by spiritual saadhana the degree of expression of His changes ultimately He himself expresses though that BMI - Hence we say guru Brahma guru Vishnu .. etc. Hari Om!Sadananda advaitin/message/43959 ---- Yet, in your message to me, although it was never addressed directly to me other than in the body of the letter as follows, you state that there is no he, she or it in Advaita. PraNAms Thanks Bhaskar - As you see it is useless to convince others as you find inthese discussions. Besides - Brahman is neuter gender - not even He or She.although in some prayers - we use - saH .. as in saH naavavatu.. etc - just tomake life simple and in some others as she. Looks like this lady may be a Hare Krishna group. Madam, if I can suggest, there are separate that cater to yourneeds. This is an advaita list - where all dualities of He, She, It, etc areabsorbed into I - the existence-consciousness, in whatever name you want to callit, as long as you do not insist that others also call it by the same name -that becomes a fanaticism which is not part of advaita. Namaste Radhe-ji, Your questions are legitimate. May I recommend for you the discourses of Kanchi Mahaswamigal which are being translated in serial fashion now? Please keep following it carefully right from the beginning. By the time you come to somewhere around the KMDA-40 or so, most of your doubts would be cleared. But it needs the background, logic and sequence of thoughts that he develops very slowly but steadily and systematically from almost the first discourse. The path is long, of course, but advaita from scratch cannot be had in a jiffy! PraNAms to all advaitins. profvk
