Guest guest
Upanishads fascinated the Indian mind through ages, and also evoked the admiration of scholars and philosophers of the West. Forming the concluding portion of the Vedas - the Vedanta - the Upanishads embody the accumulated wisdom of centuries. They are the result of free thinking and interaction encouraged among the seekers by the ancient rishis. The Isavasya Upanishad guides the seeker through labyrinth of rebirths and leads him gradually to Godhood. This Upanishad consisting of 18 mantras, belongs to the Sukla Yajur Veda and gets the name because of the first word occuring in the text. It is available for regular chanting of Krama,Ghana,Jata, etc., as the svaras are still maintained as in the Taittiriya Upanishad. Isavasya occurs in the Mantra Bhaga and is considered as Mantropanishad or Samhita Upanishad. The Brihadaranyaka Upanishad occuring in the Sukla Yajur Veda is called a Brahmana Upanishad and is said to be an elaboration of the Isavasya Upanishad. I request you to listen Isavasya Upanishad. http://www.archive.org/search.php?query=dr.anjaneyulu%20goli%20AND%20collection%\ 3Aopensource_audio
