Hari Om,Here is a link to a very interesting interview of Karen Armstrong, a Religious Scholar:http://www.pbs.org/moyers/journal/03132009/watch.htmlAs I understand it, among other things, she speaks of honoring the sacred in the Other (or compassion ("feeling with the Other"), as the means to attain the presence of God (Brahman, Nirvana, the Tao).
