Guest guest
Matsya Jayanti festival greetings to our group. The story of the descent of the Divine Fish recounted in Astama Skandha/Book Eight of the great and glorious Bhagavata Purana, otherwise known as Paramahamsa Saamhita, composed by Vedavyasa. The VEDAS,with the aid of which Brahma performs his role happened to slip out of his possession at a moment of his respite and demon Hayagriva instantly devoured them. Since Pralaya was to follow soon, the Vedas would be lost the next spell of creation, unless they are retrieved. Lord Vishnu saved Vedas by incarnating Himself as Matsyavatara - the Divine Fish. MATSYAVATARA - MYSTIC SYMBOLISM: Brahma represents the purified mind that glows with the knowledge that you are Brahman. Brahma's falling asleep implies coming under the influence of avidya, ignorance, represented by Hayagriva. And like Divine Fish, that mystical insight outgrows everything and allows you to outstep all the concepts, thoughts, and mental barriers that condition our mind. As all limitations of mind are transcended, the insight blooms into intuition, which in turn flourishes into the highest awareness of Cosmic Consciousness - the Advaitin. I request you to listen to Matsyavatara episode from Narayaneeyam. http://www.archive.org/search.php?query=dr.%20goli%20AND%20collection%3Aopensour\ ce_audio & page=
