Guest guest
SPIRITUAL TRANSFORMATION THROUGH TANTRALOKA  Abhinavagupta proudly declares that one who constantly practices all the tenets of Tantraloka is transformed into Bhairava. Thus a finite being is capable of attaining cosmic personality.  Self-realization is the goal of all spiritual disciplines and the standard effective tool conceived by them is the power of Godhead. When the self is realized we can surely induce others to realize self. No other text has been able to drive this truth home more than the Tantraloka.  The main reason is Abhinavagupta’s taking recourse to his own discerning judgment, unfailing sense of right logic, vast command over Saivistic scriptures and above all his deep insight into Trika ideology.  Om Namah Shivaye!  Virendra Delhi:91 - 9818211796
Guest guest
Dear virendra, Namaste. I love to read your articles which you have published in the website related to kashmir saivism. I have a doubt related to the vehicle of Kala Bhairava ie., Dog. While i understand that there is an esoteric significance related to the vehicles of the Gods like Mushika of Ganapati, Simha of Durga, Garuda of Vishnu, Shikhi (peacock) of Skanda, Owl of Lakshmi, Bull of Siva, Hamsa of Saraswati etc. The vehicle esoterically denotes the subtle principle of the corresponding deity which is mentioned in Tantra & Veda. Similarly, there must be some tantric element and esoteric principle related to the Sunaka (dog) of Bhairava. Dog is the messenger of Death. So, is Bhairava alongwith the Dog something related to Immortality. Kindly clarify. regs, sriram advaitin , virendra_qazi wrote: > > > > > SPIRITUAL TRANSFORMATION THROUGH TANTRALOKA > >  > Abhinavagupta proudly declares that one who constantly practices all the tenets of Tantraloka is transformed into Bhairava. Guest guest
Pranam!  May Lord Shiva bless you!  First of all kindly focus on the basic purpose: all rituals are an aid to take you inwards and make you explore the treasure within. Then we have the subtle experiences and with the ANUGARH of Lord Shiva we get self-realization.  Sunaka (dog) of Bhairava.  Here you are refering to vehicle of Kala Bhairava, whose purpose is to dispel the fear of death. Sunaka is most faithful and loyal who will always be with master in any circumstance.  Kala Bhairav leads us to immortality. There is a beautiful prayer of Abhinavagupta: SHIV CHAMAR CHATRA PUJA.  Athibeeshan katu bhashan yam kenkar .......  Oh Lord Shiva when Yama's doots scare and torture me during last hours.....  Along with Uma (Parvati) please come, give me solace and take me...  Pranam!  Virendra --- On Wed, 22/4/09, sriram <sriram_sapthasathi wrote: sriram <sriram_sapthasathi Re: Kashmir Shaivism: TANTRALOKA advaitin Wednesday, 22 April, 2009, 2:39 PM Dear virendra, Namaste.
