Guest guest
Sankara Jayanti greetings and subhakankshalu to advaitin group. Sankarabhagavatpada prescribed a moral or religious way of life which a person aspiring for self realization of divine knowledge should follow. He advocated continuous learning and teaching - Swadhya and pravachana of Vedas for the inherent limitations in human effort to gain mastery over the infinite and esoteric nature of the knowledge that the Vedas carry through several prakarana texts and stotras. The Sivamanasa puja by Sankarachary is a unique stotra. It is in the form of prayer by a devotee who imagines in his mind all the offerings and rituals prescribed in a puja and offers them to Lord Mahasiva with faith and devotion. This prayer -Sivamanasapuja is an eye opoener to those who are fanatic about rituals as it clearly shows that faith and intentions are more important in devotion over routine rituals. I request you to listen to Sivamanasapuja on the this happy occasion of Sankara Jayanti. http://www.archive.org/search.php?query=dr.anjaneyulu%20goli%20AND%20collection%\ 3Aopensource_audio
