Just a word of caution. For spiritual student, nothing should be received free.

 

Even if someone gives us free for our use, first we should be grateful to

receive it since it is helping us. More important is to give back in return to

the organization or to the society at least the equivalent cost for the things

received. Otherwise one will have Rishi RiNa or aacharya Rina - as we are

discussing the karma topic. There is always a gurudakshiNa concept ingraved in

our system.

 

In the Chinmaya Mission Pledge - Swamiji has added few lines for this purpose.

 

Producing more than we consume

 

Giving more than what we take

 

and We know our responsibilities and keep us on the path of virtue, courage and

wisdom.

 

Hence those who are down loading free lectures on the internet, or reading free

books on line, while assimilating them, it is equally important to pay back to

that organization or at least to the society in some form of donation to support

these activities.

 

Otherwise our growth will be hindered. From the point of totality of Iswara -

there is no free lunch - every action is accounted.
