Namaskar respected members,

Can anyone please answer a simple question for me?

What is the root word of buddhi, bodha, buddha,

etc.?

I believe that many Sanskrit words can be traced

back to the infinitive of the verb, and I think

that in this case the infinitive is 'bu' which

translates as 'to know,' but I may be wrong.

Thank you so much to any member who can supply

me with an answer to this question.

Pranams,

Durga

I believe that the correct root is " Budh " which means to see, to perceive, to

know, to wake, to recover consciousness
