Guest guest
Subbu - PraNAms Thanks for the links. Some talks are on .rm format. Not sure what that is. The internet got frozen with the message that for protection it is shutting off the internet - may be lot of virus got hooked to the programs. One has to be careful. There are also excellent talks particularly on Potana Bhagavatam by Malladi Chandrashekara Sastri of Hyderabad. A friend of mine got them recorded long time ago and put them on video and not sure if he has put them in DVD format, on line. Sastriji is a great speaker and the above talks were done with the blessings of Sringeri PeeTaadhipati and with his introduction. Hari Om! If so, please let me know. Namaste Shri Anupam, I think some of most scintillating lectures I have heard in Telugu are by Brahma Shri Samavedam Shanmukha Sharma. He gives lectures (pravachanamulu) on various subjects, closely based on Adi Shankara and on Advaita. But, I am not sure if he commented on any Upanishads, though I have his commentaries on BG and VS (vishhnu-sahasranAma) and Shri Rudram, with the first two based on Shankara's commentaries. Some of these lectures are available on youtube as well as surasa.net link that Shri Subbu-ji forwarded. I would also vouch for the commentary of on Gita by Swami Vidya Sri Vidya Prakasananda Giri Swamy. I could not find a detailed series online. The lectures are based on His book (gIta-makarandamu). Hope this helps Ramakrishna

I know Telugu audio tapes existed of Swami Vidya Prakasanandaji, but don't know their CD/DVD versions or online. One thing I remember hearing as child that my parents and others talked about often was, how he referred respectfully even those that society considers lowly. He said in Telugu #oka rikshaa tokkE vaaru, kooli mOsE vaaru#- read roughly like " one who pulls rikshaw, one who carries luggage " etc. with " ji " ! Not terms folks commonly used like- " a rickshawallah, a coolie " etc.,! Thats all I could understand then. ============================ Hari OM! -Srinivas
