Guest guest
hare krishna. namaskarams.. going around some 2000 miles trip to mt.rainier, crater lake, oregon dunes and the wilderness of olympic forests i was repeatedly reminded of how insignificant we are before the splenderous display of nature/god. i lost myself at the sheer beauty of the crater lake dispalying a riot of colours all over with the sun playing hide and seek in between. standing between the some countless 250 feet tall trees on top of the olympic's rain forests was unforgetable experience. the olmpic mountains with its snow capped peaks was like a mini himalayas.but the most moving thing i saw was the salmons down stream of the solduc falls. there is a place just before at which the waters rushing down and falling through a height of some 8 to 10 feet churning in to a milky whirlpool where we saw shoals of salmons.it took us some time to realise what was happening at the site.every one of the salmon was coming up the stream and jumped that height against the powerful cascade of water downstream.it was a wonderful sight to see the untiring efforts of the salmons that go upstream to lay their eggs where the river starts.it was a lesson for seekers like us to emulate the untiring effort to reach our goal in life -to the realistion of that one truth that liberates us fron the cycle of birth and death.when you realise that what you see around a little part this world could create such an impact of the uncomprehensible creation at large what to speak of the solar systems and further the millions of gallaxies. at every stop in the trip i was one with that magnificense and thanked lord krishna for that silent teaching of the truth -that is himself with the dextreous display of himself as the creator and creation. every second of all those experience was the best of a meditation resulting in touch with my lord all the time. may lord krishna bless us all like he does for those salmons for that kind of effort by all of us. baskaran From cricket scores to your friends.
