Dear Friends,

Namaste.

I am writing an article in which I am quoting a well known sloka from

Yoga Vashista. The Sloka is:

yuvaiva dharmashiilaH syat anityam khalu jiivitam .

ko hi jaanaati kasya-adya mR^ityukaalo bhavishyati..

I want to know the sloka number (Reference) for the above sloka.

With regards,

Anupam.

PS: By the by, when I googled, I got a nice site:

http://www.mudgala.com/articles/index.html

FYI

Namaste,

Yogavasistha (also Called ('Mokshopaya') has the first 4 sections

transliterated at:

http://www.sub.uni-goettingen.de/ebene_1/fiindolo/gretil/1_sanskr/6_sastra/3_phi\

l/vedanta/motik_xu.htm

OR http://tinyurl.com/ykuwzro

These sections do not have this verse.

However, Mahabharata at:

http://www.hindunet.org/mahabharata/txt/12.txt

(Shanti Parva 12:169:14-15)

has these two lines, :

ko hi jAnAti kasyAdya mR^ityusenA nivekShyate .. 14..\\

yuvaiva dharmashIlaH syAdanimitta.n hi jIvitam .

kR^ite dharme bhavetkIrtiriha pretya cha vai sukham .. 15..\\

Regards,

Sunder
