Guest guest
Namaste, I have had the recent experience of interchanges at some length with neo-advaitins. It really was an eye-opener and a lesson on the mind itself. One particular lady was extremely intellectually equipped to talk of oneness and non duality and seemed to think that this is all that is necessary for Moksha...Of course it is a step and Nisargadatta Maharaj talks of 'I Am' but that is more than words it is a feeling.. There was absolutely no understanding, or appreciation of vasanas and samskaras or any inclination to understand...This particular neo-advaitin would be the most intellectual and most non dual person that I have met in many a year..However there was no sadhana as such, many eat meat so don't understand Daya and Ahimsa and samskaras again. Also there was absolutely no way of them understanding that no matter where we think we are, we really don't know where we are at, as most impediments are in the subconscious levels of mind...and kosas..It was quite an experiance to see people so near yet so far away due to mind and ego/ahamkara.........At least I now understand neo advaitins enough not to engage in dry useless debate...it is cheese talking to chalk...And my favourite Ajativada was way off the wall to them....Cheers Tony.
