Guest guest
Dear Murthy-ji, The non-Atman is superimposed on the Atman (or Brahman) and so it does not need any other space, just as the snake superimposed on the rope does not occupy any space other than that of the rope itself. Both the snake and the non-Atman have no reality and are only appearances on their substrata, rope and Brahman. Best wishes, S.N.Sastri advaitin , sreenivasa murthy <narayana145 wrote: > > From : H.N.Sreenivasa Murthy > Pranams to all. > > Sri Shankara says : > > > > > nAsya AtmanO^ntarbahirvA caitanyAdanyadrUpamasti, caitanyamEva tu nirantaramasya svarUpam || Brahmasutra ; 3-2-16 > > > > Atman > ( i.e.The Self) has no internal or external aspect apart from Pure > Consciousness, Its nature being impartite consciousness without any interstices. > Is the above statement a fact ?
